Delivered by Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) in association with Merrimac State High School on its Gold Coast Campus. This exciting opportunity is for students aiming for a career as a performer in Musical Theatre. Training will take place on the Gold Coast by teachers who are industry experienced performers. The Certificate IV in Music Theatre is offered as a one year full time course for students who have left school or a two year part-time course for students in Years 11 and 12. The course has a focus on the study of Dance that includes the study of Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Cabaret and Acrobatics. Students also devote half of the study allocation to develop singing and acting skills. The vocational focus of the course prepares students for the triple demands of a career in the music industry that requires acting, singing and dancing skills.
