As part of protected industrial action across South East Queensland by
the Transport Workers’ Union there will be a 24-hour work stoppage impacting
Kinetic bus services on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Tweed from 4.01am
Wednesday 4 October to 4.01am Thursday 5 October 2023.
Kinetic will again endeavour to run as many school buses as possible to ensure
student safety and regret the impact this will have on our school community.
Kinetic has requested assistance from the TWU to ensure school services are not
disrupted due to this action however some impacts may occur.
Significant impacts to all other services will occur and students, parents, and
staff are advised that if you currently take a public bus service, you will
need to make alternative arrangements on the day.
Kinetic encourages passengers to make alternative transport arrangements where
possible or allow extra time for their journey. Please also be patient and
respect Kinetic team members who are working on the day.
Kinetic apologies sincerely to their passengers and community for the
substantial impact this will have on Gold Coast commuters.
